Hello, everyone. My name is Kyle, I was referred to this website earlier today by Kerrick on the Metal Archives forums. I live in the United States and am a fan of most metal sub-genres, but focus mostly on symphonic and black metal. I like to create black metal and divide my material between a few solo projects and am involved in a few other projects in other genres. I look forward to participating in this community of fellow Christian metal fans and musicians.

Hey look who it is! Welcome Kyle! Glad to see you on here. I think you'll find this place to be a nice reprieve from the Metal Archives; we're a pretty tight-knit, laid-back, relaxed, and eclectic community.
Which projects are you involved with? What are some of your favorite bands in the scene?

Thank you for the welcome! Most of my projects have not released much material, but the projects on which I am currently working are Álfablót, the demo tracks for which are kind of post-black metal, but new material is black folk and the overall theme is Elves from various mythologies and works of fiction. I am also working on a black metal project called Hexbane and a symphonic black/death project called Death to the Usurper, these two deal with more Christian themes than Álfablót, but I do not have any finished material for them. I am also in a grindcore project called Unleash Your Powerful Fist and Destroyeth Them. Our lyrics for UYPFaDT deal with anti-rape themes. You can find an instrumental black metal demo track on which I am working here: soundcloud.com/kyle-kristian/untitled-black-metal-conceptAs far as the bands I like in the scene, Drottnar was my introduction to the scene around 2009 and I subsequently discovered Slechtvalk, Enshrouding, A Hill to Die Upon, and Frost Like Ashes, among others. As mentioned, I listen to a lot secular and Christian metal of various sub-genres, with some of my favorite artists being Nightwish, Sabaton, Delain, Amon Amarth, and Nile. Sorry for the wall of text. I tend to go on tangents about such things.

Nice to meet you, Ben! 凱 is actually one of the characters in my Chinese name, which is 麥智凱 (Mài Zhì-Kǎi).

I won't speak for everyone else, but I personally welcome tangents. That demo track was pretty cool!

Wow Google Translate translated that perfectly for me. I usually get translations in the form of a puzzle I have to put together...

很好啊!去年我曾經住在四成都爲了在川大學習。但是我在美國的老師都是臺灣人,所以我比較常用繁體字。搞不好我們可以一起練習。哈哈

Welcome! I haven't checked out your music yet but I'll be sure to do so. Wow Google Translate translated that perfectly for me. I usually get translations in the form of a puzzle I have to put together... I've found that Japanese to English and vice versa on Google Translate is really inaccurate and often times makes no sense. I guess Chinese to English is better.

Chinese grammar is generally much simpler than that of Japanese. Of course, once you get into the 把 and 被 structures it gets a bit trickier.

Glad to have you here! You'll have to excuse me if I don't take part in the Chinese conversations, I can barely handle conversing in my native tongue most days!
