I just got this CD through www.swapacd.com and I'm elated. I've wanted some of their music for some time now and this one finally came available. It's en route and I don't have it yet. Anyone else own anything by Kekal? Not sure I would call it black metal as it contains electronica and some clean vocals, but it rocks nonethteless.

Listening on Youtube ATM, I think I will label this as electro alt-metal.

I have generally seen them labeled as avant-garde black metal. I have been listening to them for a few years now. They have a very interesting sound.

I like their song on A Brutal Christmas compilation! They're a band I never got into though because I know if I did, I'd want to get all their albums and some are extremely difficult (i.e. expensive) to find. If they ever came out with a complete box-set or something, I'd totally be interested.

I have their Acidity album. I don't listen to it that often (I should!) but I definitely like what I've heard. It's weird music, for sure.
I've heard stuff from a couple of their older albums, but they didn't keep my attention as much.

Once the avant-garde elements entered, I lost interest. Beyond the Glimpse of Dreams is a classic though.

I own Embrace the Dead, The Painful Experience, 1000 Thoughts of Violence, Acidity, and The Habit of Fire. I also have their compilation Introduce Us to Immortality. I really like their music, particularly their first four albums. I still need to get Beyond the Glimpse of Dreams.
