Today was the first time I listened to any of the other tracks in the lineup. There are several VERY good tracks on this!
Congratulations on a job well done to everyone involved. I am pleasantly surprised at how my material stacks up, and proud to be on this with you all!

Mine arrived today too. My wife's response: "Hymns of...what?" Got mine today, too. Similar response here! (Except it was my mom asking "Hymns of . . . what?")

This is actually pretty good. Stacks up quite favorably to the comps that introduced me to the general Christian metal scene in the early 90's. Hope those of you with bands/albums out see some interest as a result.....

are our band links even in the info?

are our band links even in the info? No. Big oversight. Did the producers think it would be mostly an internal Blackest Light forum thing? I guess that's something to correct for future pressings. Anyway, I like it. Of the 15 bands I haven't heard 9 of them before. I'm going to have to dig into this genre a little more.

I'm not angry about it, but yeah DC, that's definitely not a good thing. You should at least have a nice long list of this info on the shop page at least.

I rarely have seen a compilation disc with URL's in it of the participating artists. Honestly.

The second volume of Sullen Records' Christian Metal Fellowship compilation had MySpace pages for each band if I recall correctly...lol.

all the comps I've been on have the links, email and whatever else asked to be in the info. And I've probably been on ten comps so far.

I personally think it is not a big deal to find the band online. Yes you don't have the band's url but you know the name and the name of one song. It's easy to use google...

I agree with FranzOhen. Question for you FranzOhen; have you got contact with DC Mills about the multiple copies?
Yes Thomas. But only on my mobile phone. But that is fine. I don't use it much that way.

Hey guys, Hope everyone has received their orders of the comp. The last batch went out a couple days ago for those wanting multiple copies. Metal Helm and Vision of God Records will both have copies available other than the Fallen Oak webshop. I've got about 8 copies left on my site after setting aside just a few for other possible inquiries for multiple orders. Other than these, this album is completely sold as far as Fallen Oak is concerned – as I will have no more copies available. And after much consideration, there most likely will not be a second run of this one. The demand has slowed considerably after the initial orders were placed and the other distributors received their copies. So now we can focus on next year Also, I wanted to address not having URLs or contact info in the CD for the individual bands. This was done for a few reasons: • Not all of the bands/artists submitted website/Facebook pages. With this being the case, I decided not to place some while not having info for everyone. • Websites, Facebook pages, MySpace, etc. often change. While they may be relevant at the time of pressing the album, a year (or even a month) from now, if someone were to pick up a CD and go to the printed URL, it might no longer exist – leading the listener to think the band doesn't either. (aka Myspace anyone?) Bands quickly change names, members, websites, and so on, leading me to my next point… • This was a matter of preference and personal taste on my part as the CD publisher, but I want people to take the time to investigate a band if they like them by looking them up and doing some research. Bands/artists are often lax about updating their pages and sites. If I'm really interested in a band, I'll put the time in looking around for interviews, reviews, videos, etc. to learn more about them. It's a little "old school," but I miss the days of really digging in to a few bands and committing to becoming an actual fan of them, as opposed to the current trend of hoarding up tons of music and knowing very little about the artist, their message and viewpoint, lyrics and so on. We live in an information overload society, and it's because we're constantly presented with so much to take in, we can't process it all. (I didn't mean for this point to sound like a rant, but it was a legitimate reason for my decision - lol). • Lastly, while the main point of the comp was stir interest in some diverse extreme music in the Christian underground, it was also to direct potential members to this forum. Then, they could inquire about said bands/music and learn more about them as we get to know them as mutual fans of the music. Having said all this, I'm always open to input as we can now look forward to next year's comp! Thanks to all for your support and contributions in making this a successful release. I hope it brings some attention to the many bands and artists, and gives the listeners some new stuff to check out!

Ooh that is a tough one. There were a handful of songs that I have already heard (Ohen, Orationem, Blood Thirsty, etc.) and of those, I think The Slave Eye and Ohen are my favorites. But of the new (to me) songs, Through The Thorns, Vials Of Wrath, IHS, and Stormsinger made some of my favorite material on the album. So much great stuff on this album!
