Any fans of the Martial Industrial genre? Two of my favorites are Sophia and Karjalan Sissit. The music I've been working on lately fits in this genre. The instruments are layers of various woodwinds, flute, clarinet, even a harp, voice, timpani and other noises. Here's a minute and half sample if you're curious. eversoul.net/sample.mp3I've got a project name picked, and two songs done so far, but I'm not sure what I want to do with this music yet... Make a whole album of it and try to get it officially released? Upload song by song on bandcamp? Market it for worldwide distribution? Keep it kvlt and low profile? Keep it to myself because no one would buy this? Dunno yet...

Hey Martial Industrial! It's a genre I listen to about once a month. It's really fun music to liste to and probably one of the most metal non-metal genres out there. I don't know any big names of the genre though which is a shame.

I like the few martial industrial songs I actually know, but because of the ideologies so common in the genre, I don't listen to it very often. The bit I do like tends to, I guess, be the more bombastic symphonic stuff. Though I do like the sample you posted too Thomas, and it'd be great to have music like that in the Christian scene.

When 90% of martial industrial is instrumental, why does ideology matter? The stuff that's not instrumental, is usually non-English rambling shoved into background noise.
The themes (song titles, artwork) are usually militant. Can't think of any deliberate anti-Christian entries.

Got 25 minutes of this stuff so far. If I added vocals (I'm thinking like distorted and background-ish sounding) and maybe another song or two, it would be another full length album.

Any fans of the Martial Industrial genre? AKA "Where my Nazis at?" I kid, I kid. It is a shame that this genre has that reputation, though. That plus the "industrial" label has kept me from getting into it. All the industrial artists I know (Manson, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Ministry, NIN) I don't like. Does this sound like that kind of industrial?
