Hey guys! I don't create threads often, but I think this project would deserve it's own thread, and I want to know what you all think. If you don't know, my brother has a really cool metal project called The Patient Died Suddenly, and he's been putting out all his material under this name in Bandcamp. He recently put out a collection called "Beginnings", which included music that he wrote and recorded as early as 2006 (he had a Myspace page back then called "Ethereal Messenger"). Growing up with him, I was able to see him evolve in his guitar playing style to be able to write music like this by himself. I highly advise you to check it out! The genres in this collection range from death metal, deathcore, metalcore, thrash, and even some acoustic music. Let me know what you think! thepatientdiedsuddenly.bandcamp.com/album/beginnings

I really like the guitars on everything I've heard so far, but my biggest problem (at least on the original Beginnings album) is the drums, which sound very obviously programmed. They're programmed pretty well, but they feel very repetitive and robotic to me. It needs more fills.
The drums sound better on An Inner Sentiment EP though.

Yeah I think he did some post mastering for a lot of the older stuff, but he mostly kept them the way they were. I agree that the new programmed drums definitely sound better.
