I took the video down. That was probably the right call. Thanks NI.

I'm friends on FB with Jaako, he's a bit of an odd duck, but I generally enjoy my interactions with him. Acadia was a fairly long time in the making, lots of the lyrics were done before he fell away. There are 9 songs "Christian" in nature, and one concerning his turning away. I have yet to invest the time in discerning which of the 10 tracks it is, because I'm either deaf and blind, or he didn't make an overt declaration in the lyrics.
I can try and post pics of the booklet and lyrics as I have time, but folks might have to keep on me.....

Side note away from Bleakwail - He posted some of them online and "challenged" people to tell him which ones were which. I've honestly "fantasized" about doing something similar. Coin a new project. Write an album of music. Write semi-ambiguous lyrics, some intended to be Christian, some not - maybe both. (remain anonymous so my faith is not known and neither am I) ...and then concluding all these pretend debates that would happen over this project, with a from-the-artist "AH HA!!!" when I see Christians run away from what they perceive as non-Christian lyrics, and non-Christians run away from what they perceive as Christian lyrics. Then the (hopefully not too grandiose) telling both sides they're both wrong, equally in interpretation and for evading art for non-artistic reasons. (the point having to nothing to do with if its liked or not, but "running away" from it when its a perceived theme) All with the grand intention of bringing us together in metal (Christians, non Christians) by shedding light on how "baby with the bath water" it is regarding the evasion of "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination".... a bias that does little more than shoot the explorer in the foot as they seek out new music. ...but making a full length album just to make a point (that no one really cares enough about to change their view anyway) is a whole lot of work, for little reward.

Plus I just ... can't conceive how it would work. It might fool people who just scan the lyrics for keywords like "Savior" (capitalized), "Christ" etc, but people who look closer will be able to tell pretty quickly as soon as they see a statement that contradicts their side (be it pro-Christian or anti-Christian) ................ Then again, I have seen a few projects labeled "Christian" that weren't because they used vaguely Christian-sounding words in their lyrics, so who knows. Apparently people used to think Celtic Frost were Christian because they mentioned Jesus in the liner notes of an album one time? On second thought, maybe there actually are enough "people who just scan the lyrics" that such a thing could actually be pulled off

Well, if the target of the lyrics is ambiguous (ala Naglfar - Breathe Through Me) it would be easy to pull off.
Its easy to tell from the rest of Naglfar's lyrics (the Harvest album and other albums) that they have an overall unholy theme, but a project with ALL lyrics praising/glorifying an "unknown", as well as rejection of "what's false", it wouldn't be difficult at all to create a theme that could go either way.
It would actually be harder for me to record music that didn't sound like me playing, than it would to word lyrics in a fashion that the listener wouldn't be sure if it was evil or good. [evillaugh]
