Thanks guys! Thomas Eversole, I have heard of Myrkur but hadn't listened to them before. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for! Thank you. Wow, the reviews for the album are all over the place. Sounds like they're quite controversial. I'll have to look into the lyrics too; they're not listed on the Metal Archives. I'd love to find some Christian music along these lines too! nocturnaliridescence, I actually own Winterkou's album and listen to it occasionally. It's not bad but not great. That other song was pretty decent! Do you know if they have more songs like that or is it more rare?

Glad you liked it bro! That YouTube video has the lyrics to it in the comments. They seemed kind of dark to me, but harmless.

Do you know if they have more songs like that or is it more rare? I haven't heard a lot of Emperador songs but it seems, for the most part, they actually play pretty raw/nasty stuff. Which is why I'm not sure if that song is really by them. I just don't know who else would have done it.

I enjoy Myrkur. I have both of her albums. I think the negative press comes from variety of factors (she's in a non-metal band, she modeled, she's a woman, blah, blah, blah). I usually look into the lyrics and avoid profanity, blasphemy, straightforward paganism/satanism, etc. However, I honestly can't remember how I came to the decision that her lyrics were okay. If it occurs to me, I'll let you know. (Perhaps I should rethink the decision.)

Sorry for bumping such an old thread (is that okay here?), but I had to mention this album since the topic came up. Absolutely amazing album, and possibly some of the best clean singing in Metal period, especially for a BM subgenre:
