Has any of you ever noticed Greek's Dead Congregation? I am not that much into Death Metal, but this song gives me chills all day long:
The whole album is fantastic - as is there complete history. Really worth to be checked out:
I also found an interview on Bardo Methodölogy with them. There is a funny piece in it:
"No one gets rich playing metal these days, stay fucking true to yourself and if that doesn’t pay the bills – go flip a burger. It’s far more decent than whoring your band out." :-D
To be found here: www.bardomethodology.com/articles/2016/12/07/dead-congregation-interview/
"Go flip a burger" - that's a damn quality signature quote, haha :-D

yeah I will pass lyrically these guys are anti Christian. See specifically Immaculate Poison. Also see vanishing faith from the Graves of the Archangels album.

I will pass lyrically these guys are anti Christian So, what does that mean? Let's suppose you are in the right corner of the political spectrum: would you then not talk to people who are more in the left corner and are anti-right? What about Matthew 9,12? I don't like Anti-Christian lyrics. I actually don't like any Anti-lyrics as it is always the easy way to be just anti something. But as long as such bands don't promote killing people I can tolerate their opinions - no matter how wrong they are I am rather looking for the lowest common denominator which - in this case - would be the interest in metaphysical things, and then take it from there.

Let's suppose you are in the right corner of the political spectrum: would you then not talk to people who are more in the left corner and are anti-right? I know that I wasn't asked this question, but I'll chime in anyway. Yes, I am a conservative. This does not mean that I shun/ignore liberals. I'm still around them. I still talk to them. I'm still friends with some. However, I wouldn't want to listen to music that promotes left-wing ideology. It would basically ruin the music for me and I would be financially supporting something that I fundamentally disagree with. The same applies to music with anti-Christian themes, but I am more strongly against listening to/supporting that. Though I do believe that the tenets of modern, American liberalism, are, for the most part, against Christianity and the teachings of Jesus, I don't believe that every liberal hates Christianity or is against it. God is the core of my identity so I don't want to fill my mind with things that curse Him. Asking a Christian why they don't want to listen to something anti-Christian is like asking a Jew why they don't want to listen to NSBM. It goes against everything they are. Matthew 9:12 speaks of ministering to the unrighteous. Listening to someone's music does not necessarily involve direct contact or ministry. Hopefully this sheds some light on my viewpoint, which is similar to that of many others who abstain from anti-Christian music.

A track that's 3:40 in length, but doesn't really start until 1:50. Even if this was blistering fast death metal (which its not) it would still be too frustrating for me to enjoy.
I've reiterated many times my view on lyrics. Satanic, left wing, right wing, 3rd wing, pagan, anti Christian, Christian... if the music is good, then I will listen to it and enjoy it for what it is.

What it means is that I will NOT listen to it as it is blatantly anti Christian. Being a Christian I do not desire to listen to something that blasphemes and slanders and otherwise talks trash against God or my beliefs. I can handle secular music without a doubt in fact I listen to quite a lot of it. But I draw the line at anti Christian/satanic lyrical themes.

Ah the old "Christians and lyrics" discussion... I know it well. It's been discussed before and I believe we have at least one thread specifically dedicated to that topic. Let's please keep this conversation about the title band.
