Just purchased the Metal Missionaries The Documentary and finished watching it. All in all, pretty cool. It was very interesting hearing some brothers (sadly no sisters there hehe) share their thoughts and experiences, also some secular bands are included in there. Looking forward to the next one ^_^ Buy/rent

I saw some previews of this on YouTube. Pretty cool to see DC from Vials of Wrath in it!

I'd like to watch this. Is it for rent on Vudu or Amazon streaming?

Seems it's only available on that indie video production site. I'll probably buy it this weekend and see about watching it.

I want to share a snippet from an email from DC Mills. When I emailed him in regards to the TBL vol. 2 comp, I referenced how cool it was to see (part) of his interview for this Metal Missionaries documentary. His response regarding this was: While its very true in regards to scripture, we will be hated by the world if we do Christ's work... this still has me a bit crestfallen. I know all too well of the ridicule he speaks of. In some instances where I don't care too much when I'm the target, it fills me with rage to see others targeted. This will probably always be a rhetorical question - "what can be done?". Probably nothing. Not saying anything makes you a doormat. Fighting back summons more trolls. Its lose lose. ...as long as there are black metalers (listeners and musicians) who were brainwashed by the ideologies of vintage black metal, this is something Christians who partake in this music/art will always struggle with.

I watched it this past Wednesday, and I love it. The soundtrack of the documentary is sick! KLANK did a great score. \m/

So...I'm not trying to hate on this documentary.
I believe this was very poorly orchestrated. I can very easily tell that this documentary was made with a very little to no budget, obviously asking each participant to fill their own parts whether if they know proper production or not versus visiting the people in person and properly filming on location.
I think this person who made it should have saved his money to buy proper equipment, made a kickstarter to fund travel expenses, to really make this right.
The audio is a complete fail. The dude from the punk band kept rubbing his mic, the guys from boughtxblood were almost inaudible and obviously not using a lepel.
The dude didn't get any rights from bands to feature in the documentary except frost like ashes I think even though he showed music video clips.
The dude's script didn't seem fully versatile as he tried to make points base off or not from what all the participants said.
Probably the best thing about this documentary is that the dude who made it does show a very deep knowledge on Christian metal, naming bands not every christian metalhead would know.
I think the dude who made this had a wonderful idea, but released it way too soon. He should have waited to collect better equipment, saved for travel costs to do on-site shoots, and learned videography techniques
