I like these styles, but I hardly know ANY music in them. Do you guys have any recommendations?
Also this doesn't have to JUST be a recommendation thread - feel free to just discuss the Christian grind-/etc scene in general here.

I too would be interested in some Christian grind. Currently what I've heard (little more than Vomitorial Corpulence) is lackluster in the drums department.
I'm of the opinion that grind needs to have at least SOME obscenely fast drumming (blasting) VC doesn't outpace even some thrash bands.

Writhe is an outstanding grind project from the guy who did Departe and Separatist.

Wait don't we already have a grind thread or is it just a noise thread?
I'll look for christian grind bands with fast blasts. Off the top of my head, maybe try Long Suffering.

I know Writhe (but forgot about it), you're right holyabattoir, that EP is AWESOME He really needs to get doing more music with that project! As for Long Suffering, I heard like, one or two songs by that guy a couple years ago. I do like what little I've heard, but man, I completely forgot about that project. Thanks for the reminder and welcome back, Ben!

I'm "meh" on the riffs, but those tempo changes man.... gives me whiplash.... and I LOVE it! Those drums are INCREDIBLE! Franks Enemy has some decent grind. Too bad not all their tracks are grind...

Constrained was with Ray Banda he is incredible, I'm sorry he ended up making something so good with someone (myself) with so poor skill and unprofessional. I kinda do want to do something better with him but hes so busy with his family and his band Consuming Fire and I don't have time either. The project just faded

Thanks a ton for all the links, madkraken!! I'll check them out tonight! A handful of these, I know (Timoratus, Desmodus Rotundus, etc) ... but something strange -- I recognize almost all of these names, but I've never listened to 90% of them. I must have just seen the names while browsing Christian metal stuff, and only registered them in my subconscious. Now I'm sitting here, wondering where I heard of "Sabaothic Cherubim" or "Reconstructed Carcass" and why I never actually listened to them. Thanks for the links to Mandatory Evisceration Kaiheijinshu! On one hand, the production is... strange. On the other hand, I dig it!

Metal-Archives dump plus some others (genre and Christian-ness accuracy questionable; I didn't research too hard. Seems to be mostly deathgrind.): Nice list. Welcome to the forum bro! I listened to probably about half of those. Lottttttttttts of drum machines. :C

Found this on YouTube, Pastora Maria. The clean vocals are strange, for sure, but overall it sounds pretty good so far!Edit: Apparently it's satire. Still not bad music anyway.

I know for sure pastora Maria is not a christian band. Ive talked with a grind friend from Brazil about who's who in Brazilian Christian grindcore and pastora Maria is satire.

Well, that's a shame. Not really sure what they're satirizing though - other than the clean vocals, it seems like pretty standard/decent music to me.

nooo... This band is NOT raw, nor is it grindcore. This is a poorman's attempt at death metal. Someone was so impatient as to not save up for a drumset or find a drummer so he so horribly programmed drums and did not learn how to actually play real death metal riffs. The vocals are recorded so poorly that they unnecessarily clip the whole time. This is obviously the person's first experience making music and should have waited a few years before making anything. This is my DeathToStrangers.

I don't hear much "death metal" in it, honestly. Maybe that's because of the production / you have better headphones / etc. Seems pretty far over on the "grind-" spectrum on my end, though.
I have to say I honestly dig the production on the vocals. If he decides to stay on this "raw/noisy" route I'd actually like to hear more of it.

Fuck the Devil are coming out with a new album at the end of Februar Okay, So it's obvious their not Christian by their perverse speech band name, but they hate satan? I assume they must be "WHITE MAGICIAN" for that's the occultic religion that doesn't believe in the devil? Or maybe some other branch of cult/church that hates satan but represents worldliness at the same time. Is it "Well Christians won't jam us for our perverse speech, the secular black mateal/grind won't cause we offend their god... Uh, we'll do it anyway!!!

Bandmember: We went for a harder more ferocious Stryper attitude to capture the next generation. I know devil worshipper's won't listen to us cause it's against satan, and Christians won't like us for our cuss word / Evil sick words in the verses about killing satan, We just wondered on a side project what it would be like to combine Christian and Satanic Grind/Unblack...

They're Christian. They're from Brazil, and English isn't their first language. My guess is they started the band without knowing it was a vulgar expression.
Why they still use the name, I'm not so sure about. It could be a language thing. Or it could be a slight difference in beliefs. (Some Christians have different views about what "vulgar speech" is.)

It could be a language thing. Or it could be a slight difference in beliefs. (Some Christians have different views about what "vulgar speech" is.) I can understand that partially in collecting Unblack. I have come across two albums. One by sacrificium on the album "escaping the stupor" in which in talking about his flesh nature, he looks into the mirror and through this S!*& the mirror shows... Also there was a brazilian grindcore band that had the line just as a dog returns to it's vomit and a pig to it's S!@# so also... Quoting a more perverse adaptation of the Boof of St. Peter. I wondered then if it was language and culture. I think I remember that in some places women are allowed to walk around topless like men without it being against the law, and thus it might show a more demoralized culture, Yet, even in my own mind, damn and hell are not cuss words if used correctly, and bastard if used correctly are not things I am not against using it correctly. It would make the difference that to emphasize hatred for the devil, world or flesh one would turn to perverse speech, which God says not to do, but even here in America I think that words considered perverse fifty years ago will be in the norm dictionary fifty years from now as common speech...

Also there was a brazilian grindcore band that had the line just as a dog returns to it's vomit and a pig to it's S!@# so also Reminds me of a story Thomas Eversole told about Antestor. When they were in the USA, years ago, one of the band members said "S!@#" and one of the other guys scolded him for it, because "that's a curse word here". Language is a weird thing, for sure! Yet, even in my own mind, damn and hell are not cuss words if used correctly, and bastard if used correctly are not things I am not against using it correctly. Agreed, definitely. Those words are even used in the Bible, even bastard in some translations.
