Thinking about it more, would you be willing to review Catacomb EP? I know my music is... odd, but it's not actually that odd to me because I listen to experimental stuff a lot, and actually wish I could find more of it. But I'm curious what someone else would have to say about it in a full review. What do people think when they hear this stuff? Feel free to be brutally honest if necessary. Oddly enough, I considered reviewing this already. I've avoided reviewing most of your other music on the basis of the fact that it's not really my style (and there's no point in reviewing music from genres/styles you don't like to begin with, unless said band/album is an exception), but Catacomb felt different to me. I might give that one a review soon.

Your welcome to review Amelioration - Admin Rights if you want. I wont be offended if you end up slamming it.

I don't really think I could review Admin Rights well because of the whole "not my style" thing. I've listened to a fair bit of it and I think it's neat, but dubstep and grindcore are two genres that I just don't listen to very much because I'm not a huge fan. I wouldn't really have anything useful to say about it.

I'd love to hear a review of Ohen's album!

I think you should review that Eulogium album next like you already mentioned, CW. That way I can e-mail Armando and tell him about it and perhaps try to get him to post here again...

^That'd be cool too. Deepfriar is a huge fan of that band. I heard a couple songs and wasn't the biggest fan but there seems to be a lot of fans here so I might need to give them another try...

It would be cool if: Through the Thorns - Woodland Horizons and Bleak Harvest - Everything... Meaningless
get a review. Especially the first. It is 4 years old and no online review of it. Levi (BassOvercast) once reviewed it but only once on online radio. He never published it elsewhere. Also. Anything from Revived by Light would be cool to see reviewed. And if you don't have the music for any of it. We can figure something out.

Love to hear your thoughts on Departe - Failure, Subside; especially since you liked demo [MMXIV] so much.

To be honest, I've barely listened to it at all and haven't bought it yet. I plan on getting around to that eventually, but the production of the album completely killed my excitement for it.

^You may be pleasantly surprised - so long as you take it for what it is and not compare to the EP too much. Also, I'd like to hear what you've got to say about the new Golgota and the upcoming Demoniciduth once it's released.

Looks like you've got a growing list CW! Just from the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year!

Yeah...I sure do...
For those wondering, if all goes according to plan, reviews will resume in early 2017...but rarely does everything go according to plan...

CW - what do you think about a review of Dark Lay Still - Through Hell...? I enjoy the album, but see that it got reamed on MA by thejoker. Would be very interested in your take on this "American" Moonlight. The review has been posted! theblackestlight.freeforums.net/thread/776/dark-lay-82-100

Hope For The Dying - Legacy
It's on Facedown Records, which is having a $2 per digital album sale this weekend, which is why I'm listening to this band for the first time ha. I'm only halfway through the album. I can tell they're talented and creative -- their sound is not common. However, it's not personally what I enjoy listening to over alternatives. I'm thinking you might find it interesting, particularly its diversity (e.g., occasional breakdowns, occasional blast beats, symphonic stuff, some solos (well at least one: the one I just heard while writing this ha)). Also the album cover is sweet.

Added to the list.
For those wondering why there hasn't been a review in a few months, it's due to a mix of mental burnout and the fact that I haven't been listening to as much metal as I used to.

I haven't reviewed much non-metal because I think that my tastes outside the genre wouldn't be shared by anyone here (other than perhaps hardcore). I must confess that Crimson Moonlight is no longer my favorite band. They've been replaced by Shoujo Byou, about which I made a thread a while back. Due to the "weeaboo" appeal of the music (almost all songs are in Japanese; most of the songs have voice acting; the album covers are all anime) and the fact that no one ever replied to the thread, I figured that the interest in a review of one of their albums would be approximately zero.

Actually, from gauging your musical tastes, I'm now more interested in listening to more of your "favorite band". That cemetery lure track reminds me of this track for some reason.

That Vesperian Sorrow track sounded really cool. I don't think I've heard that band before.
I posted Cemetery Lure as the first track in the thread because it's one of their most metal songs, there's no voice acting, and it's in English. Those factors made me think it could be more enjoyable for this forum's demographic. My favorite Shoujo Byou song is the last one I posted, Haiiro no Transient.
Considering that Warbound said he's interested in reviews of whatever I'm listening to and that you expressed interest too, I think I will review a Shoujo Byou album, or at least one of their singles. But I still need to review Your Presence and Strength first.

Lol. I basically lost all motivation to continue this. Now that I'm in college I wouldn't have enough time to do it anyway. Sorry guys. These reviews will still be here. Maybe someday I'll pick it back up.
To be honest, I've been listening to very little CBM lately. It's mostly been Japanese rock and pop that I've been listening to.

I basically lost all motivation to continue this. Sad. I figured as much when I was releasing albums faster than you were making threads here. Anyone else interested in reviewing CMB albums? Christian metal? Anything? If not, I might as well close this section to new posts until CW has a change of heart. If so, I can give access to create threads here and change the section to "TheBlackestLight album reviews" or something of the like. Someone, please let me know.

Depends. iiiiiiiiiiiifffffffffffff I expressed interest in doing this, is there a queue or list I would be expected to follow, or would I just review whatever I wanted?

No list or queue. If YOU did reviews, it would be YOUR discretion as to what was reviewed. Obviously, it would be nice if the majority were Christian black(ened) metal releases. Feel free to review all the Christian noise, punk, death, doom, hardcore, etc. etc. etc. you want. The reason I approached CW about reviews back in the day was because he gave some opinions on music in a thread and they were extremely well written. I've seen enough of your posts as well to know you know how to write a couple paragraphs. I think it would also be cool if you re-reviewed something already here. Perhaps to give a different perspective? It's mostly been Japanese rock and pop that I've been listening to. I know you said your next review was Orationem's "Your Presence and Strength". You don't owe me this. You're more than welcome to review some of what you're listening to. If you could muster a couple paragraphs about it...

If you could muster a couple paragraphs about it... I had been listening to the fourth Orationem album and planning to review it, but that was when I was losing interest in black metal and to be honest, I didn't really get into it. I couldn't think of much to say that I hadn't already said in the previous Orationem reviews. Most of the music across all five albums on that project sounds very similar to me, aside from a few differences. I could probably write something about what I've been listening to, but I just don't think that anyone here would like it, plus like I said, I've been super busy. I'll think about it though.
