TBH I was a little disappointed that the "Evangelion" cover wasn't a black metal version of the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme song. Batyushka strikes me as aggressively OK; fine for background music, nothing I really feel like coming back to.

TBH I was a little disappointed that the "Evangelion" cover wasn't a black metal version of the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme song. There's this that a parody artist did. But yeah, I was hoping these guys would do one, too. Also: new Naglet! Also new Taakeland for those who are interested! (Piano / dark ambient)

Not black metal, but I received my reissue of Paramæcium’s Exhumed of the Earth well over a month before the release date.

That Extreme Brutal Death zine sounds interesting, keep us posted on that comp CD! It'll probably be in Portuguese, unfortunately for most readers here. I haven't read much of them, but from photos people have shown me, everything is always in Portuguese.

New Trust Your Heart album - "Against the Slaves of Darkness". I'm listening to it as I type this. It's good stuff! Definitely black metal influenced, but not quite "black metal". Some screams but a lot of clean vocals. The mixing/production isn't really the best, but overall I'm enjoying this one a lot!

Also, I found a new band today!! Hosts of Lord. Raw-ish black, with some "doom" influences. The vocals are absolutely insane.

You have a strange idea of "dance music"! New Be Not Betrayed single! Pillars of Deceit. Much more death metal-influenced than past releases! New Ancient Pilgrim single! Humilitas. Also, new dark ambient / dungeon synth from Kenneth! Herske - The Moon and the Stars. Speaking of Kenneth, some of Desmodus Rotundus' discography is available again - [Bandcamp]

This is the first track of Duister Maanlicht's new release "Heidenhaat, de Komst der Plagen". Now you might argue that Duister Maanlicht is not a christian bm project perse, and that is correct. The lyrics of this song are though so that's why I posted it in here. I could post the lyrics if somebody wants me to, but since they're all in Dutch...
