Oh Thomas you missed the whole christian scene element as well. Sometimes bands will market their music to Christians just because they think it's a suitable market. One band that isn't actually Christian but was on Solid State Records anyway was The Agony Scene. In one perspective they are a Christian band since by the rule of association, but yet they aren't because the members are not Christians.
Departe is not a Christian band but Disho (vocalist, guitarist) is a friend of mine and is definitely a Christian so I will add them in any list of Christian bands

I already expressed my view on whether or not they are (or were) a Christian band in this post. It's been 10 years since their previous release, so much may have changed in that time. Nevertheless, I'm excited for this release. I mentioned elsewhere that their albums helped me get into black metal. They weren't the first BM I heard, but they were the first with which I connected. Listed to about half of The Glory of God last night. I really enjoy that album!

I heard rumors about a new Skald in Veum album is on its way. Does anyone in here knows anything about that? the 1260 days Ep is a killer!

According to their Facebook page, they're recording their full album. Which, according to the standards of our scene, means it should be released within three months to ten years. lol

Sometimes bands will market their music to Christians just because they think it's a suitable market. Like what Klayton said about Circle of Dust. LOL You know, if Orationem had the opportunity to be on a satanic label, I'd take it. No second thought required. It definitely wouldn't be for the association or for me, but it would be good for them, as that's about as far away from "preaching to the choir" as you can get.

Arvinger announced the other day that they're working on a new EP, called Rast. It's been 14 years since they've released any new material, putting them right up there with Vardoger, lol. I'm still excited! www.facebook.com/Arvinger-Official-167934763318552/

Well I'm embarrassed. I seem to have mixed Arvinger and Vardoger up. Ok, so... its good that its finally established with me that they're not the same band. LOL

2017 could be a great CBM year! We may get a few more major releases! The Slave Eye, AHtDU, rumors of Skald, and others. Does anyone know if Cerimonial Sacred ever released that EP they were talking about late last year? I'm also looking forward to Sylvan Fortress too. I don't need to be spending extra money but I'm not sure I can help it!

I now want to play Knights of the Old Republic II with that playing in the background. It fits and sets the dark atmosphere so well.

I'd love to see a proper release (an album/EP) of some IHS songs, physical and/or digital. I really like what I've heard from your project, spiritussancti.
Edit: I just re-read your post and saw that you mentioned an upcoming EP. Guess I didn't read thoroughly enough, lol.

It'll probably be digital for starters and depending on demand we'll see what the future holds:)

Dang, there really haven't been any recent releases that I've been excited about at all. There are a few in the works (Dalit, WarHorse...) that I'll be the first in line to buy, but it's been pretty slow for new music - CBM or not.

I agree Kerrick. Besides a few things there isn't really much going on. I am waiting for two artists to receive their artworks to do a low run of some tapes. I could say I am personally working on material but I am doing so since 8 years and only 2 releases have seen the light of day. Not really something to look forward to... to my own regrets.

For some reason, this really stood out from a lot of stuff I have heard lately! Maybe its the chords that sounded different than usually, when it comes to this kind of stuff. Hope you get to produce this to a band-thing!

Sounds good dude! I'm listening right now. Anything DOOM always piques my interest. I agree Kerrick. Besides a few things there isn't really much going on. Well if you made more music, you could count me pretty stoked. I love Woodland Horizons and the TTT song on the compilation is one of my favorites from the album.
