I spent days working on a rather significant update to orationem.com and it is now complete. Currently, the music player(s) installed there are just for streaming (with lyrics and purchase links), but it would be very easy to calibrate for free tagged MP3 downloads. Very easy as in, it's "done", I just don't have it "turned on" right now. (I'm going to wait for Duane's blessing on that, as I don't want to undercut mine/his VoG Orationem downloads) Orationem.com will have the meat and potatoes of Orationem content. I'm going to step away from YouTube, with really the only plans for a new video, to plug the overhauled domain. I don't see a need to do something as drastic as deleting the OrationemOfficial YouTube channel, but there's a number of reasons I'm switching gears to the site/domain that I have been paying for. (ie: VoG YouTube hosts many of the same videos and its redundant for us to both have the same content and he will release upcoming videos, some of YouTube's / Google's recent business practices have caused me to lose trust in them, YouTube is videos and Orationem is music, etc.) I hope you guys enjoy the site! I myself am rather impressed with the quality of this independently scripted music player. It was enjoyable to me to take a trip down memory lane, listening to "Your Presence and Strength" as well as "Fulfiller, Sustainer, Preserving Protector". I had a few other ideas that I'm still kicking around, but I may wait for any feedback before I pull that trigger. (in particular, a player that hosts all the tracks instead of tracks per album, so someone could really get use out of that "shuffle" button if they wanted to. Also, I was thinking of adding players for both Disgyblaeth albums.)

I learned something yesterday - with the help of someone else. Apparently, not all MP3 tagging is equal. Some MP3 tagging is better for online streaming, as its metadata is "at the top of the file" and more quickly read, whereas other MP3 tagging isn't "optimized for online" and a streaming player will have to cache a good chunk of the file before it gets said file data. Anyhoo, I've put a little disclaimer above the site player to please allow some time for tracks to load. The loading time is better now than it was when I made the post above (when I'd just completed the site), but depending on the connection, it could still take about 5 seconds (hopefully less) for some longer tracks to start. I've finished the music for the 4th song of this scripture collection. I just need to figure out what scripture I'm going to do for lyrics. :B Vision of God Records is supposed to add more Orationem clothing to their store soon. (just 2 different shorts there right now) I'll be adding that to the site when they're available.

Will we get patches?

*does an internet search to make sure I know what patches are* Well, I think that's in the realm of possibility, but I had no idea people wanted these. LOL

I have quite a few, actually. I mostly stick to bands I've seen live, but I'll wear a patch of a band that is broken up/doesn't play live (like Orationem).
Not sure how much of a demand there would be--although if you're selling Orationem shorts it seems like you'd be open to more niche merch options.

although if you're selling Orationem shorts it seems like you'd be open to more niche merch options. My personal Orationem merch goal was just shirts.... but of course when the label says they can make shorts too if I give them the necessary designs, I'm happy to provide the designs. VoG has a few other patches so it sounds like it could be a possibility, but I can't guarantee it will be a thing, since its not me making patches myself. :B In other news, the Orationem shirts and shorts links have been added to the website this morning.

I've added "For God Is Not Unrighteous" to the orationem.com collection player. Second Orationem track of 2021, and of January 2021. :B I must say, this one is a bit of a maelstrom! Lyrics from Hebrews. Enjoy!

Duane from Vision of God Records forwarded me an email stating that Orationem now has 100 followers on Spotify.

I listened to a bit of the Psalm 119 album while going to the store the other day.
That is some of the spookiest music I've ever heard. It sounds like what nuclear war must feel like. Very kvlt.

I listened to a bit of the Psalm 119 album while going to the store the other day. That is some of the spookiest music I've ever heard. It sounds like what nuclear war must feel like. Very kvlt. HAHA!! Thanks man! Yes, I think its pretty satisfyingly spooky (and noisy) too. I had someone reach out to me who was like, "What type of synth or keyboard are you using for that haunting sound with the guitars?". I told them it was several tracks/layers of my clean singing voice, singing with the guitars... and he was like, "DUDE. I need to listen to this AGAIN. It sounds really sick sometimes!" Ah yes, sick black metal is a mighty fine black metal to make. I finally got the music for this 6th track for the collection done. I wasn't able to record most of February. Not from lack of trying, but this bout of cold weather we had, really did a number on my hands and feet. Hard to lay down drums or guitars with pain or numbness in the extremities. Never thought I'd want warmer weather, but on behalf of making more music, yes - that sounds great!

I've added "Let Us Love One Another" to the orationem.com collection player. Track 6 for this collection (so far) and now a half hour of music. Let's head for 1 hour, shall we? I wasn't able to record most of February. Not from lack of trying, but this bout of cold weather we had, really did a number on my hands and feet. Hard to lay down drums or guitars with pain or numbness in the extremities. Round 2 of that when the inducer motor on my furnace went out and my wife and I had to juggle space heaters from room to room until the new motor arrived and could be installed. God is good though. This could have happened during that bout of REALLY cold temperatures we had there a couple weeks ago. Better to have all this happen while it was 40 degrees out, instead of 10.

UPDATE: Per the request of people wanting CDs, I've decided to break this collection up into volumes. First 6 tracks (a little more than a half hour running time) will be Volume I. "The Black Metal Scripture Collection - Volume I" is the 8th Orationem album. Volume II, (which I've already started recording on) will be another half hour of blistering black metal with verbatim scripture lyrics later this year. (got a couple different ideas for that, but more about that another time)
