Ugh, it's Veronika's last night in the USA this evening... It's going to be weird not having her here...

You need a cat. There are all kinds of potential human owners out there. When you meet the right cat you will know it because there won't be any hesitation about becoming its slave.

Ugh, it's Veronika's last night in the USA this evening... It's going to be weird not having her here... THIS is a very good sign, for YOU. Missing her and she's not even gone yet, or just left? You and her are going to be JUST FINE. You need a cat. There are all kinds of potential human owners out there. When you meet the right cat you will know it because there won't be any hesitation about becoming its slave. LOL. I recommend starting with a kitten. When you raise them, you're dad and they'll all but worship you. I've got two cats in my house that easily fit in one hand when I got them. ...and everywhere I go in the house, they follow me. If you start with an adult, who knows what sort of crazy stuff they were subjected to.

What is the appeal with cats, anyway? It seems most cats just cause trouble and destroy things all day.

HAHA!!! The same could be said for children or any other animal allowed to roam free in the house.
The appeal of cats to me is they're just the right size to hold - like you would an infant. ...except, when you're done holding them (or they're done being held) you can just drop them - very much unlike an infant or a small dog. LOL
They make happy sounds. They massage and give kisses. They play. They're not loud. (unlike dogs) They're excellent warm fuzzy pillows. They're cute.

I have 8 cats (and have had two others who have passed) and I can say that even adult cats taken off the street can love you with an unprecedented fierceness!
I heard a contrast once of dogs and cats that I felt was pretty accurate. It went something like this:
Dogs believe that we are dogs, but cats believe that they are human.
Fancy way of saying a dog may think of a person as a master, but a cat views them as equal.

I have a cat that used to be stray but she wandered to our house one day, we let her stay in our garage, and eventually she just became ours. She was only a couple months when we took her in, so she's pretty attached to us. She likes to play and cuddle and doesn't destroy things very much (anymore).

Hahaha thanks everyone. I would LOVE a cat... I had a cat all growing up and he was so totally awesome! Unfortunately, my landlords don't allow pets where I live... BUT they have a cat and he's great! Ponies too. And since I'll be moving to Barcelona for a few months, it doesn't make sense to get a cat now anyways. Once we get a bigger place together though...

Get a hamster bro. Landlords can't say crap because they're in a cage. You'll fall in love as soon as you give the little buddy a potato chip and watch him eat it.
I love hamsters, but one thing breaks my heart about them. They only live 2-3 years tops.

Now this is a topic I invested a lot of hours thinking, dreaming, wishing and praying about.
Although, I´m "just" 25 I´ve always imagined myself married to a woman and having children. But as reallity is, until this day I´ve never been in a serious relationship; not that I didn´t try but I´ve never met someone that was wife material. I mean, I liked a lot of girls but I would never be with someone who doesn´t put God first, also it´s not really helping that I´m quite picky about people I open up to. There were days I was desperate to met someone but"1 Corinthians 7:7–8" gave me a lot of comfort.
As things stand right now, I´m happy to be single and I wouldn´t mind to stay single in the future, but I´m also open for surprises that God has prepared for me. p.s. pet´s aren´t really an option because I´m allergic to almost everything, although I´m playing with the thought to get a turtle ^_^
